UPDATED APRIL 10, 2009: Josh Lyons will once again be bringing back his talented equine skills
to Pro-Chevalin Centre D'entrainement in June of 2009! I sure do wish I could say I was rider
in this clinic again, but I'm not. Although worth every penny, it's just not something I'm
able to afford to do this year, unless by some chance, I win the lottery beforehand! haha
However, I am going to do my best to get out there and watch what I can and perhaps get another
story up for everyone again.
If anyone in the clinic last year has some photos, stories etc they'd like to share, feel free
to email annae@internetwebdezines.com and I'll add
it to the site.
DAY ONE Josh Lyons Symposium Introduction
Piece of Cake
First, I'd like to start with, "If you never been to a Josh Lyons Clinic, then you are missing
out on something pretty darn special!". I just had the privilege of spending my last
six days with Josh Lyons and many other equine folks who learned as much as I did. I learned
many techniques that can assist even a beginner likes myself and an old mare like my Chelsea Buns.
I also made many new friends. I also discovered muscles I didn't know I had. It's going to take me
a few days before my body stops aching!
Before I go any further, I'd like to thank Laurier and Chantal from Pro-Chevalin Centre D'entrainement
for hosting this clinic. Without them, it would of never happened. They did an awesome job!! Laurier
is also another great trainer and uses a lot of the Lyons techniques himself. I also want to thank
each and every volunteer as well. Also, Estelle from Starview Stables, she trailered my mare to this clinic.
I would not have had a way to get my horse at the clinic if not for her.
When I first heard this clinic was being held only hours from myself, I was ecstatic! However, I had a lot
of planning and saving to accomplish before it could happen. At first, all spots were taken, but someone
who had signed up changed their mind and offered for me to buy their spot. Boy did I jump for that!
Next I had to plan my holidays around that, make sure things would be fine at home, finding some
trailering and the list goes on. Well, it was meant to be, as everything fell into place!
At first, I wasn't sure I'd gain much from the clinic. Riders that were there, are riders with
years of experience, owners of stables, teach riding etc. Myself and my horse, have only been taking
riding serious in the last few years. We didn't even know the difference between inside and outside
rein at one time. However, I gained more then I could of ever imagined. My horse is officially a horse
now! hahaha..well a darn good start start.
I still can't believe I just spent the last six days watching magic in motion. Really, that man would spend
hardly anytime at all with a horse and create miracles! I feel like I'm still dreaming. So don't pinch me!
Another great thing about Josh Lyons, he brings his family! We had the privilege of meeting his wife
Jana and their two fantastic (next generation) boys, Austin and Johnny. Those boys taught us to polish boots,
rope and kept us smiling a lot! They already have some awesome equine skills as well. I don't imagine
it's easy for a family to travel on the road like that, so I tip my hat for you guys. May all your trips
be safe together as a family!
And you know, Josh did this entire clinic with broken Ribs. He was in pain quite often
but that didn't change how he did things! Like he always says "Piece of Cake"!
If you'd like to experience the magic of Josh Lyons, he will be coming back to
Pro-Chevalin Centre D'entrainement in August. There aren't many spots left, so get it while you can!!
Just visit Laurier's site (English) for more information and to contact
them. Francais ici
One can also experience his ACCREDITATION program in July at Pro-Chevalin Centre
D'entrainement. For more information, visit
Lyons Legacy
I would LOVE to take this course!!!! However, finance just won't allow for that.
I should be happy that I at least experienced a clinic. If you've already been take this
or plan too and would like to add a story about it to this site, please email
annae@internetwebdezines.com
So during my time, I tried to get as many photos as I could to share with you all. If there's anything
someone would like to add that was in the clinic, please feel free to email:

Just use the links above to view photos from each day.
Again, THANK YOU everyone and Josh Lyons & Family...YOU ROCK!!!
